Everything you need to stay connected to your child’s school life.
We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to every childs growth. This hub brings together the tools, resources, and information you need to stay informed and involved throughout the year.
As soon as a child is accepted as a member of the Immaculate Conception Preparatory School family, their parents automatically become members of the Home School Association.
The Association had its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, December 3, 1969. The Committee comprises a group of dedicated parents and teachers who volunteer their time and energies to ensure that the interests of the students at Immaculate Conception Preparatory School are best served.
The purpose of the Association is to provide opportunities for parents and teachers to become acquainted with each other and offers parents the opportunity to have first-hand knowledge of the school, its policies and its problems and the type of education which is being offered to their daughters. The Association also arranges fund raising events.
In addition to an Annual General Meeting, special meetings are arranged each academic year to give parents the opportunity to meet class teachers and to discuss at a more intimate level the goals of each year of their daughter(s) life. All parents / guardians are expected to give their full support and cooperation by attending all meetings scheduled as the progress of your daughter(s) requires the active involvement of your daughter, her teacher and most importantly, yourself. This triangular formula does not fail.
Full support and cooperation is also expected in all fundraising activities planned by the Executive Committee of the Home/School Association
The school over the years has been blessed to have the help of a vibrant, hardworking, warmhearted HSA Executive and other members of this Association. The executive comprises the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Staff Representative and Class Representatives who are elected at the beginning of each school year. It is recommended that Class Representatives serve for no longer than two years. Please note that parents who serve as Class Representatives are not permitted to use parents’ email addresses for their own personal agendas.
Meetings are held once a month on the last Wednesday at 4 p.m. All parents are encouraged to attend most if not all of the meetings. The HSA offers support in fundraising and organizing various school functions.
